Team board

The Team board shows the same Items as the Portfolio board, grouped by Team instead of by Hierarchy. One card stands for one Team and reads its load at a glance: how far along its Items are, how those Items split across Status, and the Insights Strategy Hub has raised across them. Use it to find the Team carrying the most risk, then drop into the Items behind it.

Reading the board#

The board lays out one card per Team in a grid, split into two groups: My teams—the Teams you belong to—sit at the top, with Other teams below. The Period selector at the top scopes every card to one planning Period, such as Q2 2026—change it and the cards recompute together.

An Item lands on a Team’s card when that Team is assigned to the Item. An Item can be on more than one Team, so the same Item can appear on several cards. Teams sync from Jira; see Configure teams and labels for how they are managed and assigned.

What a Team card shows#

A card stacks its regions top to bottom. Read them in order and you have the Team’s picture without opening it.

A Team card with six regions marked: header, average completion, Insights, Statuses, the items that need attention, and the View all items link

  1. Header — the Team’s avatar and name.
  2. Average completion — the mean progress across the Items the Team owns, as a percentage and a bar.
  3. Insights — count chips for the findings raised across the Team’s Items. The next section covers them.
  4. Statuses — the Team’s Items grouped by Status, drawn as a segmented bar with a count and a legend, such as 2 At Risk and 5 On Track.
  5. Items that need attention — a table of the Team’s flagged Items, each with its progress, Status, and Owner. It reads “All items on track” when the Team is healthy. Sort it with the Status control.
  6. View all items — opens the Overview filtered to this Team.

Team-scoped Insights#

The Team board aggregates Insights across every Item the Team owns, as a row of count chips—rather than listing them per Item the way a Portfolio card does. Each chip names a finding, counts how many of the Team’s Items it covers, and gives a short reason.

A Team card's Insights row: count chips for at-risk items, past deadline, items behind pace, and status mismatches

The common chips read:

  • at-risk items — Items whose Status is flagged unhealthy.
  • past deadline — Items whose End date has passed.
  • items behind pace — Items tracking below the on-track bar for this point in the Period.
  • status mismatches — Items whose manual Status differs from what Auto-status would set.

One chip is different. When a single Owner is carrying several of the Team’s Items that need support, Strategy Hub tags that chip with the Owner’s avatar—a sign the load is concentrated on one person. See Insights for the full catalogue behind every chip and how severity is ranked.

Drilling in#

Everything on a card is a way into the detail.

  • Open an Item — click any Item’s key or name to open its Item details view. This works for the rows in the needs-attention table and for the Items inside an expanded chip.
  • Expand a count — click an Insight chip to drop down a list of the Items behind it, each with its Status and Owner.
  • See the whole TeamView all items in the footer opens the Overview filtered to this Team.
